Cron job is marking my Active IP's as Offline

After getting my cron job scripts running for pingCheck and discoveryCheck I see on the site that the subnets are indeed being checked, however my status never changes from red to green. If I manully check host availablity on the site it will turn green until the next pingCheck, then it turns back red. So for some reason when the cron job runs it's marking my active IP's as being offline and I can't figure out why. I appreciate the help on this. I'm running version 1.5
