&lt;p&gt;There is a new release candidate 5.2-0-rc1 compatible with Virtualbox 5.2.X available in the &lt;a class="" href="https://github.com/phpvirtualbox/phpvirtualbox/tree/5.2-0-rc1" rel="nofollow"&gt;phpvirtualbox github repo&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, to fix your "Validation constraint violation" issue you need to install the development branch of phpvirtualbox downloadable &lt;a class="" href="https://github.com/phpvirtualbox/phpvirtualbox/archive/develop.zip" rel="nofollow"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. &lt;p&gt;From the web interface, I'm now unable to attach or detach virtual CD/DVD images (it works from CLI with VBoxManage).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I get the following error:&lt;br/&gt;
"Validation constraint violation: empty value provided where a value is required in element 'device'&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Details"&lt;/p&gt;
