Unable to post new event

Hi I was able to install 2.5b5 in my pc but cannot post/create new event...day and year is disabled...can you point me on the right direction so i can test this project? i'm a beginner in php and found this project interesting to learn..thanks..

I want to use phx to book some sailing events. They would all be at one location, and I'd use 'areas' to allocate resources like rescue boats, start and finish boats etc.

I want to keep hacking to a minimum. Is there a langauge file that would define 'Location' and so would only need one tweak?

BUT - I actually would prefer not to show that info on the callendar at all (just on the event detail) - is there a way? [I'd rather list the race officer name.]

Error when editing or approving event

When I try to edit an event or approve it, I get the following error:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/madisonc/pem2.5b5/pem-includes/header.php:53) in /home/madisonc/pem2.5b5/event.php on line 22

Not sure what is going on here. Any ideas?

problems running install

I am trying to install pem on a Redhat 5 server running Apache 2.2.3 php 5.1 mysql 5.0. I have followed the instruction and when I load the install page, all I get is a blank page. I have phpmyadmin and phppgadmin running on this server and they work fine.

Any ideas on what might be causing this problem?

Fatal error on installation

I am trying to install the application on my local Windows machine (Wamp). I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method MDB2_Error::fetchRow() in C:\wamp\www\phxEM\pem-includes\functions-db.php on line 58

Can't submit events / Event name cannot be empty

Hello

Pem is running ok in the root of my webserver (pem2.5b5.zip on Debian). Adding Events is not working - due to the "event name cannot be empty" problem -as it has been reported earlier. As suggested I tried to turn off "Required" for the "Event name" field (impossible to do this in the backend module - always reverted to required / did it in mysql database directly?!?!) - Unfortunately to no avail.

Please note, that in the "Event Information" section all input fields iE "Event Name" appear twice - is this, where pem gets confused ? How to avoid this?

Thank you for looking at this - otherwise PEM looks promising!!

can't edit events

I get the message "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /var/www/pem-includes/header.php:53) in /var/www/event.php on line 22" when I try to edit an event (or activate an event.) I have updated to the newest version and you can log in with the name and password you have used before.

reinstalling

This made me think of a question. How easy is installing a new version? Obviously it is really easy to overwrite the files on the server but when I do that will it get the right database information (assuming I setup the pem-config.php to have the same database, username and password)?

Because, as I think I said, I have more time than anything else I reinstalled *everything* from the ground up to see if I might have done something wrong. Good news is everything works again just like it did. Bad news everything works again just like it did! So no change. Still can\'t add an event.

Oh and I setup the name and password again so you can get in at your leisure.

Can't submit event

When I try to submit an External event I always get the messages "Event name cannot be empty," "Open to the Public cannot be empty.,""Attendance Expected cannot be empty." This is obviously even if I put in information in those fields For an Internal event I also get "Category cannot be empty,"and "Visible to the Public cannot be empty,"

Basically it seems like any of the required fields in the Event Information section don't get correctly submitted.

Sorry to keep peppering you with questions but I hope it can help you make the software better as well as help us.
