place to ask this, but I hope you could point me in
the right direction. What I was looking to do was to
create the poker2d client on a windows machine. After
looking round for a solution I came up with, rightly
or wrongly, with cygwin. I thought if I complied the
sources in there it would give me what I wanted.

After fighting with my computer to install all the
right components for the last few days I have managed
to completely compile, poker-eval, pypoker-eval,
poker-engine, and poker-network. (as well as
installing MySQL with a client that works in cygwin.)
But it did not give me what I was expecting. I was
hoping that it would give me an .exe file at the end
of it all. The only run file I could file was poker-
interface.

It did however install all the files in the same
places as my Debian computer has them, but I want to
run a client on Windows as well.

Could you nudge me in the right direction if there is
indeed a direction to be nudged in.

Thanks Jake.

poker2d client crashes in tournaments

Hi again Loic, I am sure this is nothing I have done
as I have tried this on several of the builds I have
done now, and there has been a LOT ;)

When I try and join a tournament table that has all
but one spot free, the client crashes with a lost
connection error.

The poker server connection was lost

When I reconnect and go to the table again, I can see
my name, but can not join the table.

I dont have any trouble on the normal tables, the
ones I have tried anyway.

On another note, I couldnt find anywhere to ask this,
is there a package of .tga files for poker3d? it
keeps saying it cant find it and quits with:-

After a week of installing things, reading, searching
and fixing, mainly because of the PKG_CONFIG_PATH I
think I got everything installed apart from poker-
network. (I even install Gnome as that was the error
it was giving me, I know better now)

The error I get when I make (./configure is fine) is

I ran into this problem and worked around it, but I
thought I would let you know. I am not really a
programmer, I just like to tinker and hacking around in
Makefiles is something I know very little about, I just
sort of tried what might help so I may be fixing
something that doesn't need fixing if I were really
doing things right, but here it is either way :)

When I try and make pypoker-eval-128.0 it fails with

LIBS = -L/usr/local/lib/python2.3/config/
libpython2.3.a -L/usr/local/lib -lpoker-eval

to:

LIBS =
-L/usr/local/lib/python2.3/config/libpython2.3.a
-L/usr/local/lib -lpoker-eval

by taking out the space between config/libpython2.3.a

And then it compiled and installed just fine.

I also noticed the same sort of space in the path issue
at this line in the Makefile:

PYTHON_LIBS = -L/usr/local/lib/python2.3/config/
libpython2.3.a

And it didn't seem to make any difference if the space
was there or not, at least for compiling.

So, I don't need any help, just wanted to report this
in case it actually was a bug and not just my lack of

Each package fails saying it can't find the other and I
should include the path to the .pc file in an env variable.

But that file doesn't seem to get created until I
I'm looking to play around with the poker hand
evaluator, but I'm having trouble getting started?
FYI, I'm working with a free Borland C++ compiler
version 5.5 from the command prompt on a Windows XP
machine.
CAn someone direct me to more detailed directions
to build the library and set the path. The only
directions I have are the ones from the README file:

Compiling -- DOS / Windows (May be obsolete, please
send updates
to cpinson@freesheep.org)
======================================================
==========
The library can also be compiled using Microsoft
Visual C++. In each
directory, special DOS makefiles are provided, called
makefile.dos.
To compile the library, make sure that the VC tools
are on the path
and that the LIB variable is properly set (VC
provides a batch file,
vcvars32.bat, to set this up), and enter the
following commands:
cd lib
nmake -f makefile.dos
cd ..\examples
nmake -f makefile.dos
cd ..\tests
