I assume that your CMS can provide a static export of
the
information that was stored in the database. The
exported pages do not need to be generated dynamically all the
time.
Can the automatic content regeneration mechanism of
the apache web server be used with your software?

Upgrade Scripts to allow for patches to the code. This
will likely be written in Perl, Batch, or Bash files. PHP
Files are possible however, unlikely.
