I have and issue with my laptop which made me format it, so I have the backup of 2 works in a zip but I need to paste it to new 2 works I've done after fromat. I need the information on timelogs, defectlogs, etc of first two works with last 2 works.

    Before formating 2 works done.
    After formating 2 works done.

I wanna have all 4 works in same process-dash so I can consult my datas and graphics.

    How can I do that?

After you reformatted the laptop, you created a new, empty database and started collecting your work there. As a result, you now have two separate databases:

    • the backup from the database where you collected data for week #1 and #2, before you reformatted the laptop
    • the new database that you created after you reformatted the laptop, where you have collected data for week #3 and #4.

Looking back, the best approach would have been to immediately restore the first backup after you reformatted the laptop. Then, you would have been adding data to the original database, and all of your data would be together. It is too late for you to take that approach, but I am posting this advice anyway for other people who might read this thread in the future.

There isn't an automatic way to merge two databases. It is definitely possible, but different strategies might be needed based on the type of data you've collected, and the type of projects you've been working on. If you contact me directly via email (tuma at users dot sourceforge dot net), I will be glad to provide assistance that is tailored to your specific situation.
