#79 WBS Workflow Management to Group Component Workflows

This feature may potentially become less important after the addition of a new capability that was added in Process Dashboard 2.1.3. The new feature introduces the concept of Proxy Estimation Tables, which can be used to estimate the size, time, and productivity of WBS components, independent of the workflow they may eventually use.

This effectively decouples the estimation process from the choice of workflow that will be used. Components can be estimated in a mature way using historical data, even if a workflow hasn't been applied or even defined yet.

With this new opportunity to separate estimation from process definition, it is expected that the best practice will be to phase out the use of Rates in workflow definitions. Accordingly, if you are currently juggling a large number of duplicated workflows that differ only in their Rate, you may be able to significantly pare down the number of workflows that you are managing.

To use or evaluate the Proxy Estimation Table feature, download the latest point release from http://www.processdash.com/download#beta

If, after paring down those duplicated workflows, you still expect to need workflow grouping and management capabilities, please elaborate on this feature request with your thoughts about how the new grouping concept might work, and how you would envision it would change the user interface actions you currently perform. WBS Workflow Management to Group Component Workflows

As the team has various levels of PSP experience ranging from none to 5+ years, we have many workflows that apply to deliverables, level of experience, personalisation and in some cases versioned too. It would be great if the custom team workflows dialog could manage workflows to group components to make launching/replanning easier.

Time Log Format required in Minutes

During post mortem, I compare times in minutes and would like the timelog to format and report the parent data in minutes too. I can calculate or read the total minutes in Team Dashboard but it takes time when the timelog would be simpler to check. I would also then be able to compare tasks in my personal dashboard.

Yes I would be open to migrating the version control repository to Git.

Can you add PDash to Git, in essence would you be able to support development and contributions via GitHub? Or do you have an existing git repo.
