I'm using Project Libre Version 1.9.3, and I finding a problem when perform the assignment of resources to a task.
I've created several resources (people in this case) and I want to assing them to a task. When I select them and give to each one a percentage of the total (let say, Person A 70%, Person B 30%). this reflects on the hours for each person, as example, if the task lasts 100 hours, Person A has 70 hours, Person B 30 hours.
However, if a change the percentages, or add a third person, and the percentajes are now Person A is 50%, Person B 25% and Person C 25%, this doesn't reflect on the hours and consequently, neither the cost of the task doesn't change.
Is it a bug? I'm doing something wrong?
Thank you in advance.

You had me curious... I tested and there are a lot of options.... Please reveiw Effort Driven tasks and in the Advanced tab on the task you can select and deselect.... also there is Fixed Units, Fixed Durartion and Fixed Work options to model the task and your resources. I tested by de-selecting Effort Driven and then selected Fixed Duration and worked fine but that may not be what you are looking to model....

Many thanks for the reply. I did what you suggested (Fix duration and No driven by effort) and it seems to work. In all the cases, I need to look at this in detail.
I'll update the thread when I confirm the behaviour of the program here, and if necessary, upload the program.
Many thanks!

how to put overtime in project libre

You can put overtime in multiple ways including.... in the Task Usage spreadsheet. It will usually default to 8 hrs a day for a standard calendar. You can add overtime here... or assign a resource more than 100% .... check your resource rates if you are tracking cost and can also record overtime rates that exceed the standard rates. There is a video on our YouTube channel

Is it an effort driven task? You can send us the project file to test for you
