Please add checking of SSL certificate which is used to communicate with remote HTTPS proxy. This is important because local proxy can replace original certificate with fake one and sniff the traffic.

host and port from config file or ENV?

I like that the user and pass can be pulled from ENV now, but would
it be possible to have the destination hostname and port to come
from somewhere other than proxy tunnel's command line? As it is
now, if someone does a PS, they will see:

proxytunnel -G proxy -g port -D homecomputer.adsl.com -d 22

and it might look bad.

Just a thought.

NTLM auth

my corporate's proxy uses NTLM auth and don't allow
access even if i use proxytunnel.
Could you add this feature to the next release of your
wonderful hack ?

Local Port Forwarding instead of stdin

It would make the tunnel easier to bind to local TCP port
and to listen, instead of reading stdin, because with
windows there are very few programs which generate
standard output, and many which have configurable
destination IP/port. For Example:

-l 127.0.0.1 -p 5022 would listen at local IP 127.0.0.1
tcp port 5022 for connections which should be tunneled
out

remote user name option

The local user name and remote user name aren't
necessarily the same. An option to specify the remote
user name would be very useful.

proxy authentication support
