I have this same issue with Pd version 0.51.3 on Windows 10. I can sometimes update the number box via the keyboard one time, but after that it locks up. I can't do anything with it, and it doesn't even seem to update if I am able to type a number in. I am able to set the value using Ctrl + mouse though.

Hello ... I saved some files and now the software reports that the files are not in puredata format ... what nonsense did I do ?? has how to correct such error ?? (pd-gui 'connecting to' pd 'on localhost 5400 ...

Hey i found the solution al ypou need to do is use the two object names in the same object till it reacts it has it, what i mean is:
[mux~] first if this is your problem and it doesnt appear do not deleat the object and type [zexy/multiplex~] and than it should recorver if not try that a couple 2 times and if your problem is the other way you know what to do. adios mijis

I have encountered this when playing with FFTs, and wonder why it's like this.
The behavior is directly traceable to d_ugen.c which says:
srate = parent_srate * realoverlap * upsample / downsample;

The * upsample / downsample part makes total sense to me, but I don't understand why realoverlap is folded into the samplerate. Could you explain why?

Above, at last step, I am referring to manually adding the escapes via a text editor and then loading the patch.

When I am entering my escaped spaces it looks like this:

And upon removing focus from the message block, the \ characters remain there…

Now, upon saving my patch, i can open it in a text editor and see that my escape are gone!

After loading my patch the escapes are not present…

HOWEVER
If I manually add the escapes in the patch, it works!

I'll look at it - I thin kit's the tip of an iceberg (as anything involving IEM GUIs seems to be. Putting 0.50test1 out first though - there will be other, more widespread problems I'm sure.
