&lt;p&gt;The above described behavior has not changed in Version 0.50.189.0.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It would make a difference to improve folder creation!&lt;/p&gt;

It is the utterly backwards and unintuitative way that folders are created.&lt;br /&gt;
1. You can not create a new folder at the root/Sessions folder level.&lt;br /&gt;
2. If you create a new folder with an existing folder currently selected, it creates a new folder and makes the selected folder a child of the new folder. Totally backwards.&lt;br /&gt;
I find this behaviour to be the single most annoything 'feature' of the app.&lt;br /&gt;
And this is only magnified by the fact that I do it rarely, so I get bitten every time.&lt;br /&gt;
So, for the benefit of others, select putty session (not a folder), uncheck the Locked Sessions, then select New Folder.&lt;br /&gt;
The folder will be created with the previously selected putty session in it.&lt;br /&gt;
If you need nested folders, then drag to the appropriate location.&lt;br /&gt;
