how about storing the queryResult string after a game
info query in the ServerInfo so you could make a method
like:

String getField\(String field\) \{
return Util.getPartGS2\(queryResult, field\);
\}

so every field in the result string can be retrieved ..
and not only which seam to be the most important to be
included in the ServerInfo class.

at least this would be useful for games like
AA,BF2,etc. i don't know all of the games you support
so maybe it doesn't make sense for all to add a
functionality like this in a general sense.. if not
maybe it would be possible to make a subclass like
GameSpyServerInfo which can be used for this ?

thanks,
Herbert Poul

modified Quake \(1\) engine. The statusresponse is quite
similar to Quake 3, I only needed to change a couple of
lines to the SOFQ3 gametype to get it working. Here is
a patch where I added a NEXServerInfo.java file with
the changes and added support into the Queried.java
file. Admittedly there may be an easier way to do this,
I'm a complete beginner at programming :-\)

Also thank you for writing this\! The only server
browser software that has support for this game ATM is
qtracker, and for some reason it is not finding all the
servers. My roomate and I wrote a simple console
program which gets the master server list and then uses
your project to get the server info and if any players
are on. The demo program was almost perfect as is for
doing this. I've made it available in the game forums
for Nexuiz if you'd like to check it out or have any
use for the portion of code we did:

Is it possible to get BF2 team info from the new BF2 query?

With BF1942, I could figure out who was on what team.

This is necessary for BFTSEnforcer.

If you have any idea about this, please let me know.

Thanks
