it is not the usual practice for any application.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What the program should do is remember the state of the&lt;br /&gt;
window when you exit, and use that when it starts back&lt;br /&gt;
up.  This way the people that like non-maximized&lt;br /&gt;
windows (me), and also people that like maximized&lt;br /&gt;
