Wow, I can't believe that nobody has responded to this problem since 2007. I'm having the same problem. I think it's a wrong setting, but I don't know what to look for to change it.

My machines exhibit this behaviour too, however the described conditions do NOT occur if the delete method is "Delete directly and don't ask any questions (Old RED mode)". I haven't tested the other modes but thought I should mention this as it may help with killing this annoying bug.

ignore not working correctly

using version 2.2.0.0 on win7 ultimate x64

when i scan some folder and click one of the subfolders and select "add to ignore list" the full folder path gets added (like "C:\somefolder\somesubfolder"
but the folder is NOT getting ignored, also not after a rescan... when removing everything except for the deepest folder name (in this case "somesubfolder") it works like expected...
but this way the ignore-menu-option is useless... if you have to manually edit it anyway...

also added ignores are not saved on exit when the full path is given...

Apparent Memory Leak

In Windows 7 when scanning a large directory tree of empty directories (I had over 22,000) the program works as expected until I tell RED (2.2.0.0) to delete folders. As it deletes folders its memory size (in RAM as reported by Task Manager) increases. For example, on the present run it has deleted 1000 folders but it showing a RAM use of 2 GB!

Note to myself:

Test and support full disk scanning much more than before. Because currently RED was not supposed to scan the whole hard-drive...

Another problem with locked folders

User feedback:

On my PC are a couple of directories that I am unable to remove. When I look at the properties they seem empty, zero length. And when deleteing them, they do not disappear. Your program does not show them as "empty".

Any thoughts on what I can do to remove them?
