Recent changes to feature-requests

CanShrink and CanGrow is not implemented.
Hidden textboxes cause report to dispaly empty area. According to RDL spec and MS implementation report should shrink.

CanGrow is also not implemented: if TextBox grows to accomodate multiple lines, those lines overwrite following elements. Instead of this, report should grow and following elemnts should pushed down

MS specificaton footnote also specifies that horizontal shrink should occur. Some columns can conditionally removed from report. Columns from right should move left in this case.

Today I saw that a user yesterday have made a hole bunch of modifications on fyiReporting.

Correct Return Value of the actual Page

In the fyiReporting-Forum I have read that following code would helpfull to give the correct actual page number. Maybe it would helpfull for you?

- Open the "Reportingcloud.Viewer"-Project
- Open the "Viewer.cs"

Directory structure of ReportingCloud.Designer

Hello,

can you please reorder the structure of the source files of the ReportingCloud.Designer Project?

Here a example as suggestion for you:
- Create a Folder "Forms" and put all Forms in it
- Create a Folder "Controls" and put all UserControls in it
- Create a Folder "Icons" and put all images (.gif, .ico ...) in it
- Create a Folder "Property" and put all classes that start with "Property..." in it (You can´t make a folder "Properties" - it ist a reserved name)
- Create a Folder "Classes" and put all classes in it

At last open the "Properties\Resources.resx" an change the link from "...\cvs.gif" to "..\Icons\cvs.gif"

This change would be to help to have a better clear view of the project

Interface to export and refactoring

Since that the export to pdf (the most requested and used) was the target of refactoring to become as reliable as possible with the preview, the engine will be target to a new refactoring with regard to exports in general, ie, instead of the code is mixed, will have a interface that defines the methods of exporting and each export will implement the said interface to organize the code to became more easier to maintenance the current exports formats and to create new in the future.

New text justified options

Currently the text justified alignment justify the text and place a dashed line in the last line.

This should be changed to new 3 kind of text alignment:
1. Justified (the last line is a normal left alignment)
2. JustifiedLineSeparator (the last line will have a line from the last char to the end of the area)
3. JustifiedDottedLineSeparator (the last line will have a dotted line from the last char to the end of the area)

This should be available in the report designer and report preview (later also in the new pdf renderer).

Add printing support to silverlight viewer

There is less-known hidden gem, Silverlight viewer and XAML rendering engine.

Now silverlight 4 has native printing support. So silverlight viewer should allow to print reports.
SL viewer should be re-written to make is as reusable control.
XAML rendering engine should be merged with other renderes so it can be used like others, eq. to generate XAML files.
