<div class="markdown_content"><p>RDE v1.0.1.1 stores main settings in the registry. This<br /> doesn't make RDE well suited for running from an<br /> ordinary USB memory.</p> <p>There should be an option to store settings in e.g. an<br /> ini-file in the same path as RDE.exe.</p> <p>Suggestion: Upon start of RDE, first check if there is<br /> an ini-file with the main settings in the same path as<br /> the main executable.<br /> * If such a file exists, the registry is ignored. (USB<br /> mode)<br /> * If there isn't such a file, look for settings in the<br /> registry. (Installed mode)</p> <p>Furthermore, one could also consider adding an option<br /> to RDE's options menu, for creating an ini-file with<br /> the main settings. Alternatively, a sample ini-file<br /> with example settings could be included in the<br /> distribution.</p></div>
