&lt;p&gt;I am using RX controls for Delphi 7. When I try to compile it in Delphi 7 it gives me the following error:&lt;br /&gt;
"&lt;span&gt;[Error]&lt;/span&gt; RXBUILD.DPR(15): Illegal character in input file: '!' ($21)." on line:&lt;br /&gt;
'ERROR! RX Build program is intended for Delphi 1.0 and 2.0 only'&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I removed the line and tried to compile it however I got the following error:&lt;br /&gt;
"&lt;span&gt;[Fatal Error]&lt;/span&gt; File not found: 'C:\Program Files\Borland\Delphi5\lib\Proxies.pas'"&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I tried to search this file in the entire Borland folder but could not find it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Could you please guide me on how to compile the RX controls in Delphi 7?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;here is the thing. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We have a project that uses rx-libs, and now we need that project implements web services, after the instalation of the rx-libs the soap components are disabled, and if we try to enable them we have this error:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Cannot load package coreide60. it contains unit apputils which is also contained in RXctl6.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So we're running some other options, but we believe rx-libs can be modified to be compatible with web services&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I'm using RxDBLookupCombobox and I'm trying to select a&lt;br /&gt;
empty value. I have given both emptyvalue and&lt;br /&gt;
displayempty the same string value.&lt;br /&gt;
When adding a new record to the table everything seems&lt;br /&gt;
to go Ok (the lookup field stays empty) but when I try&lt;br /&gt;
to change an existing value into an empty one then I&lt;br /&gt;
get a onPost error.&lt;br /&gt;
How can I change this?&lt;/p&gt;
