Install Problem on Windows 2k with MS Visual Studio 6.0

Hi,

I am trying to install Shift2Ingres under Windows 2K +
SP4 Build 2195 using MS Visula Studio 6.0 + SP6
applied. I am receiving errors at "Configure your Ingres
R3 Database Server . OME Function linking" phase.
These are C compile errors when iilink is being
executed. As I said above I am using MS Visual Studio
6.0 C++. So, my questions are:

1) Is it a supported environment to install Shift2Ingres or
only under Unix/Linux I can do this?
2) If this environment is supported, which are the correct
C++ compile options? You've provided a makefile only
for Linux.

Hi
I have installed this Shift2Ingres without a problem.Now
when I try to convert an oracle schema into Ingres using
this tool - I get a problem at Step #2 of this tool...

Here is what I did..

I created a database Shift2Ingres using Ingres
Commandline tool and using my valid user id which is
the sysadmin for Ingres database.That worked fine.

Now when I try to test the connection using Step#2 of
this tool..I get an error saying that invalid
userid/password.However this userid/password is
correct.I tested this from other Ingres tools such as
VDBA and Command Prompt.

When I try to bypass the test connection ..and went
ahead with Step#3 and Step#4 and Step#5 then -- the
conversion process runs forever..no error..no clue.

Any help will be appreciate..as I am almost Stuck here
and hit the deadend.
