#10 King Safety and Passed Pawn Knowledge
More robust knowledge of king safety, king attack and
passed pawns. Passed pawns especially since
Simontacchi will routinely allow a pawn to walk right up
to the 7th rank and then show evals of -8.
King safty is critical too. The best human players come
out Simontacchi king side all the time and can
sometimes get a win out of it. Other engines don't really
do this all that often, but it is still an issue.
