It is absolutely not tested in any way.
I have attempted to brain transplant what I could understand in the Rick Richardson's foo2qpdl driver, adapting it to splix from my perspective.

Procedure:
- Get the full source from the SVN trunk:

svn co https://splix.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/splix splix

- Download and extract files of splix-clp3xx.tar.gz and copy over the files in the svn source tree.

splix/module.mk

splix/include/algo0x15.h
splix/include/bandplane.h
splix/include/jbig85.h
splix/include/jbig_ar.h

splix/src/algo0x15.cpp
splix/src/bandplane.cpp
splix/src/compress.cpp
splix/src/jbig85.cpp
splix/src/jbig_ar.cpp
splix/src/module.mk
splix/src/qpdl.cpp

- Compile and install the usual way.

- Add a new printer via web or from the command line, *manually* specifying the clp-3xx.ppd included in the downloaded archive.

- Try to print normally.

Thanks.

Parse print options from Postscript

I have a CLP-300 attached to a linux print server. I would like other computers to be able to submit jobs as Postscript so that I can count page usage and avoid installing SpliX on all client computers. I made a modified PPD for the client computers to do just that, but I ran into a problem. It seems that when a job is sent to another server, cups embeds the user select options (duplex, etc) into the postscript file instead of the options being past on to the filter via the command line. It would be great if SpliX could parse such options out of the PS file and apply them to the job, allowing this to work properly. However, if an option is specified both in the PS file and on the command line, the command line option should be used.

Thanks,

Mr. Pablo Mazzini reported to me that he was seeing some unwanted marks in prints. As reported by himself, this can be solved by making the corresponding ppd for scx-4500 use the 0xe algorithm only, as opposed to 0xd as of now. Simply change it in the drv file to generate a ppd for this model with the 0xe encoder.

In addition, the following printers should work with SpliX, but I don't have any confirmation or reported case. These can be included in the supported printers list page as untested. I guess its reasonably safe.

- Xerox WorkCentre PE114e (essentially the same as Samsung scx-4100)
- Toshiba eSTUDIO180S (essentially the same as Samsung scx-4200)
