As a continuation of the previous post, I have an idea how to improve the squash ladder software. I have been thinking the following features will make the squash ladder software more versatile.
1. Ability to split users into groups (based on rankings).
2. Allow players to challenge every other players within the same group.
3. Rank the users by ELO points within the group.
4. A function to reset all the ELO points of the users.
If these four functions would be possible to implement then the squash ladder site can also act as a squash league. The idea is this split the players from beginners to advanced. Allow roughly the same level players to challenge each other. Rank them by the season's ELO points. Based on the ELO points, promote players to upper group, or demote players to lower group. Reset the ELO points for a new season!
I think it will be brilliant. Currently, I am sort of doing this by hand -- using Google Spreadsheet to keep track of the score within the group. But it would be totally AWESOME if the squash ladder software could do this automatically.
