I am having trouble with the import furniture choice if I am adding a very thin object or one with very little contrast to the essentially gray background of the various display boxes. You simply cannot see the object to rotate it to the angle you want it to end up. Those view boxes should be made much larger and the background color could be altered to have contrast to the object you want to work on. I was attempting to create a curved string of multi-colored lights and used a thin wall object with cutouts of service hatches along its length where I could insert light sources. It works great when viewed from the side where it is created using the default rotations but if I want to also tilt the entire string by creating a new object I simply cannot see the object.
