As you may already know, there is a pretty nice open-source delphi-6 compatible IDE called Lazarus (http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/) that is using Synedit as the base for its editor. SynEdit is also included as a component in the IDE, but the version used does not support Unicode (like uniSynedit) and is pretty much outdated. So I would be grateful if someone could port the current version of UniSynEdit to Lazarus (I have tried myself, but failed :( ). Thank you.

I personally would accept the ANSI version to be ported. Unicode would be nice, but...

The version included with Lazarus is also missing Word Wrap.

However, as a product Lazarus is likely superior to all Embarcadero products and worth trying out for those who haven't. You get cross-platform code like Java, with native speed like C++/ or Pascal.

Who could ask for more? I could. I want SynEdit with WordWrap. :)
