TI 83+ timeout problems

I'm using Debian unstable, and tilp 6.8.0 and I'm
getting connection timeout errors while trying to
connect my TI 83+ with tilp.
I'm using a selfmade parallel cable and tipar for
connection. dmesg says:

pnp: Device 00:08 activated.

When I try to connect with ready,
The calculator promt freezes for a second and tilp says:

Msg: Timeout occured while reading to the device.
Cause: Check that your link cable is plugged and/or the
calculator is ready.
System: Connection timed out (errno = 110)

I'm using Fedora 3 Linux 2.6.9, and have TiLP and all
required packages installed. I am using a SilverLink
(USB) cable with a TI83+. I got TiLP to work once (as
root), but I then restarted my computer. I tried to use
the software again (as root) (after re-installing tiusb
1.07b), but couldn't get it to work. Here is the error I got
when I try to configure TiLP (the window where I give
which calculator I'm using):

Msg: Error occurred while initializing the libusb.
Cause: Check that your cable is connected or not
stalled. Check your libusb and usbfs, too.
System: Device or resource busy (errno = 16)

I made sure the cable was firmly connected, and tried
again. Same result. Here is the command-line output:

Error with g_strip_context located dynamic library libglib

Hi, whenever i start up tilp i get an error saying
"The procedure entry point g_strip_context could not be
located in the dynamic link library libglib-2.0-0.dll"
What does this mean and how can i fix it?

hi,

my english is not the best,but i hope,that you can
understand me.
i installed tilp on a fedora cre 2 system.
everytime i started tilp,i get a message,that tilp
could not find a directory for my plugins.
can you help me please?

Hi,

when I try to run TiLP in graphical mode I get this error
right after I click away the messagebox:
....
tilp : initialized in GTK+ mode.

** ERROR **: tilp_plugins_scan: opendir error

aborting...
tilp : scanning plug-ins... Aborted

I'm running FC3 kernel 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 and I compiled
these from source:
libticables-3.8.7
libticalcs-4.5.6
libtifiles-0.6.1
tilp-6.77

Also, once I noticed a message saying that an old error
message was overwritten by a new error and that this
might indicate a bug. I believe it was a gtk or glade
message but I can't reproduce it.

Do you have a suggestion?

TI 84 Plus

My school requires me to have a TI 84+ Calc. I went out
and bought one and was excited that the Calc has a USB
cable with it. The only problem is that TiLP dose not
support the TI 84+ Calc. I current cannt do anything.
This is a real problem since I only run Linux. Support
would be great for the TI 84+ if there is anything I
can do to help just ask.
