Cue

Please include the ability to save & resume your Cue. On the old Visual Hub, if you had a long cue, whenever it crashed, you would loose it. :( Also, whenever you had to quit, there was no way of pausing it or resuming your cue.

Tivo preset

Not sure if it is in there, but it would be nice to have a Tivo and Tivo HD preset. I use Visual Hub all the time to convert videos to view on my Tivo. So an mpeg2 preset that is tuned for Tivo HD would be awesome.

When I convert a movie with 2 or more languages I would like to check or uncheck all the layers I want to preserve.

AppleTV DTS 5.1 support

When converting a mkv with a DTS track to AppleTV 5.1+2.0, it would only create a "normal" stereo AAC track in the resulting file. If the original file had a DD5.1/AC3 track, this setting would create the correct file for s/pdif output of the ac3 track on the AppleTV.

If AppleTV can also output the DTS track over s/pdif, then please enable that. If not, please let us choose to use the ffmpeg (or other) DTS 5.1 to AC3 5.1 conversion, which is already in ffmpeg.

iTunes Metadata support

Support iTunes metadata integration as seen in MetaX.

Especially useful would be the integration of several sources for automated meta-tag generation (TagChimp, Imdb, Omdb, Tv.com, ...)

1) Support full Automator integration

2) Support a "transcode every file that is put in folder A" with output settings depending on the file that is input..

example: if the file is below 800x600 encode it using Elgatos Turbo.264 to AppleTV format and send to iTunes, if it is bigger than 800x600, encode it for AppleTV and additionally for iPod and do blabla...

I would really love to see Elgato Turbo.264 supported.

I know that it does not work with the x264 encoder and that you cannot make many customization settings with the Turbo.264, but I would really love to see it as an additional output mode to choose.

Use iTunes 8.0.1's new trick for HD videos

Anyone else notice the new trick iTunes does in version 8.0.1 of displaying videos you download off the store that come down in HD and SD version as ONE THING in your library? Maybe TranscoderRedux could have an option of turning larger resolution videos into an HD and SD version that it then also adds to the iTunes library AND in such a way that iTunes sees it as one of those cool HD/SD listings. This is my dream conversion workflow. Thankyou for reading!

Chapter Preserved

I've noticed with a lot of files that now have nice chapters that Perian recognizes and loads them into Quicktime players and they work great. I did find a way to move the chapter data from the original file to the converted one but it was just an experiment and much too difficult to add to my current workflow. It would be fantastic if TranscoderRedux could preserve special data like chapters through a conversion to iPhone formats because it is able to utilize chapters I've found. Thanks guys!
