&lt;p&gt;In v0.8.1 gps.ui.LoginController line 54 you have the following code:&lt;br /&gt;

model.logon(username, password);&lt;br /&gt;
----------&lt;/p&gt;

not set up the Java Communications library properly so&lt;br /&gt;
