  • I create a class diagram on Windows 7, e.g. the one attached
  • The class diagram is perfectly readable in Windows Violet UML, e.g. if I open the .jar file or the the .exe. If I print it, I get a nice result, like the one attached.
  • If I open the class diagram in a Linux Browser, everything is fine too.
  • But if I open the diagram in Violet UML on Linux, the diagram is really messed up, boxes are "near" their original places, but slightly shifted. Boxes overlap eveywhere. If I print it, I get the result I see in Violet UML, I have it attached, it looks horrible.
  • It does not matter whether I use Java 6, Java 7 or Java 8 (custom PPA for Ubuntu 14.04), in all cases, the class diagram is messed up on Linux. I also tried wine and opening the .exe file.

Problem is, I use this class diagram in a workspace where other collegues have Linux machines, and they don't want to install a Windows VM just to edit the class diagram..

tested with Violet UML 2.10 .exe, .jar, .deb
tested on a fresh Xubuntu 14.04 with all Updates
