added since 0.94
i do not know how to use CVS to access all the src
files in a simple way.
can someone post the latest build somewhere plz?

Can not switch desktop and VD stops responding

Hello
I am using this sinc few days now. First of all I must
say this is wonderful tool and very useful.

I had used it in past and now started using it again.
I am facing one perticular problem. I am using the
Lotus notes mail client also. When I get a new message
notification that small window probably goes to other
desktop or something. then I am unable to change
desktop or switch to Lotus notes. I have observed it
for 2-3 times.

Then If I kill the VD from task manager I get the new
mail alert.
But I loose all the applications running in other
desktop.

For example just now this happened. I had a Toll
called TOAD and 2 other GVIM sessions running in other
desktop which are now not accessible.

I cant see them in applications pane of task manager.
but in processes I can see them. If it was visible in
applications I could have 'switched' to them .

So I have to log off ..at this time TOAD and gvim both
asked for the save message they saved the files too.
but i have all of them closed.

Any help will be highly appriciated..

Missing hotkey for "find me an empty desktop"

Often, when in need for a new fresh'n'clean desktop, I
find my self jumping forth an back. It would be super
cool with a hotkey for "find me an empty desktop".
Ofcourse VD would have to handle sticky-windows as
non-contributing to emptiness.
Further, what should happen if no desktop exists:
1) nothing happens - an alert sound is raised
2) a super new concept is introduced: Temporary
Desktops. Desktops that'll disappear when emptied.
Makes perfect sense with new request :-)

Hotkey to jump to "previsously used desktop"

With the use I have, I often need to jump between two
desktops - not necessarily the same two. So I would
like to be able to configure a hotkey to "jump back the
desktop I was on before I got here". Doing it twice,
will then make VD jump back again:

D_X -> D_Y
hotkey -> D_X
hotkey -> D_Y
D_Y -> D_Z
hotkey -> D_Y
hotkey -> D_Z
...

reuters terminal screens replicating to other desktops

hi,

is there a way of stopping one application replication to
the other desktops?

when i run reuters terminal it replicates the activity of
that specific program to the rest of the desktops so i
have say (3 screens) three instances of the prog.

can anyone help?

Shortcut key for Toggle Maximize Window?

Feature request: now there are shortcut keys for either
maximizing height or width.
How difficult will it be to make a shortcut for
toggling maximizing the window (the middle button on
right side of every window)?

preview window gone

After fiddling with transparency settings for the
preview window, it disappeared completely. I have
uninstalled, deleted all virtual dimension files I can
recognize and re-installed, but the settings do not
change. I can install VD as another user and it works
fine, with the default settings ... for that user.
How can I return the settings to default so I can use
the preview window?

GIMP Troubles!

Hello,

I use the GIMP alot and it seems that anytime I switch
to a different desktop for more that five? minutes and
then switch back to the GIMP Virtual Dimension corrupts
the GIMP's windows. It causes the GIMP to scramble the
tool icons and the menus on the main window disapear
and are not functional. Its as if everything gets
shifted up and the mouse pointer is shifted up as well.

Very strange. Any Ideas?

Locked and unable to unlock

Help! I've locked the Virtual Dimension in place after
hiding the title bar, and now I have no way to unlock it--
no title bar on which to right-click. I've tried uninstalling
and reinstalling, but it just reappears the same way. It's
locked in place. How do I unlock the position without
the title bar?
