The latest few Webmin releases support certbot's stand-alone webserver mode to validate certs, which can be used if you don't have Apache or Nginx running.

Anyone found a solution for this?
I agree that Webmin should allow some form of node,nginx or simple http server for lets encrypt validation and not only a virtualmin/apache option.

Ah ... sorry, right now there is no support for using Nginx to request a Let's Encrypt cert, sorry.

Hey, Apache is not actually running on the host. Is there a way to get a cert for the nginx (that's what Webmin runs on right?) server? These are only nameservers and the only issue I have is that Brave browser refuses to connect to the Webmin console without proper SSL. In Edge, it will allow me to connect anyway, but would rather have it properly secured. Also, these are both slave nameservers to the non-publicly available master. As always, thanks Jamie.

Ok, that error means that Webmin couldn't find an Apache virtualhost entry for ns1.vavias.com . In the Apache module, what virtual hosts does it show that you do have?

My SSL certs for my nameservers quit working about two weeks ago.

Failed to request certificate : No virtual host matching ns1.vavias.com was found. That is the hostname of the machine. I never had Virtualmin installed on my nameservers. Any idea?

Same thing on ns2.vavias.com
