&lt;p&gt;For example if the owner or completion date is updated, it would be nice if the user were allowed to automatically propagate the change to the children. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This avoids the need to spend a lot of time updating a bunch of subtasks if something at a higher level changes. &lt;/p&gt;
