I have figured out the solution to my problem, all i had to do was go to:
Extra > Options > Application > uncheck 'New window on Wiki URL'

Because now with that, i can link from one page to the other without re-opening the same wiki.

In-page folding based on indent Request

Folding of prose text based on indent

The Problem
I am a writer and am trying my hand at fiction. It has an amazing amount of structure, layers and processes and it can all be incredibly hard to keep track of. But whether fiction or simply research for non-fiction, which is quite complicated enough, when working, I find that I can't break my train of thought to arrange my thoughts neatly into nodes, as you would think.
You need to maintain a particular mind state which is hard to describe - perhaps I can refer you to Stephen King's book 'On Writing' for a better explanation - and pulling out and fiddling with software functions just can't happen.
Instead, I have to keep typing on the same page and scroll it up and down. As the page page extends to, normally 400 to 1000 lines, I often find myself scrolling around, trying to find some previous comment, or perhaps trying to think of a word to search for, all of which is distracting and makes me stop, often for coffee, fixing a dripping tap, walking the dog, playing with the kids, etc.
This is not a good thing.
The solution
I would really like to indent my prose something like python does, and have wikidpad notice the indentation and provide clickable + and - signs by itself. Of course, there is nothing clickable on any page. Only in the 'tree' at the moment.
Thus, I suggest the addition of a one-character-wide column placed immediately to the left of the page, in which clickable + and - signs could appear. These would scroll with the text on the page, of course, and keep up with the folding.
I can't tell you how useful this would be for all us people out there using it for prose. Please consider my request.
Thank you.
Stephen Cambell,
Cambridge,
England.

#22 Link without recreating second pages

Actually both "Page 1" are the same.

The main problem is that the tree view misleads new users to think that WikidPad is an outliner with a hierarchy of pages but it is a wiki where any page can be ancestor or descendant (or both) of any other page.

The tree view tries to simplify navigation but with the drawback that the same page can appear in it multiple times.

Link without recreating second pages

I am having difficulty finding how to link to a different page within the wiki without the link creating a duplicate page, for example:

Main Page
- Page 1
- Page 2

Second Page
- Page 3
- Page 4

In Page 1 i would put notes.
Then id go to Page 4 and put other notes, but at the same I want to link to [Page 1] <-- like that, but when i do that, it automatically recreates Page 1 under Page 4 like this:

Main Page
- Page 1
- Page 2

Second Page
- Page 3
- Page 4
- Page 1

I dont want it to recreate the page again. I just want to put a LINK to it so that when i double click on the link, it will take me back up to the original Page 1.

Im sorry if this feature already exists, but i havent found it anywhere and im going crazy, Does this exist or can we make it a new feature? because it would be really helpful.!

Any thoughts??

More featured SHORT HINT to peep links

Wiki pad is very good for knowledge management
But it needs an improvement in its SHORT HINT
If it is more featured and a little bigger, we can see a clear abstract form of the link without clicking
As we click on the link, we just isolated from the main subject or page
Such a feature without compromising the compactness can make the s/w more useful.

Also wish ,if it can contain more pages as root (like c/>,d/>etc.. drives of PC)

Adopt markdown

This seems to be a aged tool, offering solutions when there was no clear option, but is time to accept the community choices. No one wants to learn another markup language. Wikidpad and markdown are just a choice, but for whatever reason markdown have win.

At least offer an option to choose the markup language. I give up with wikidpad just for these, and will come back if markdown (or multimarkdown) is adopted, everything else is good enough to choose this tool as a desktop wiki

Live preview

Gived the preview mode exits, why not offer a live preview (edit + preview mode side by side) This is relaxing, you see what you are creating instead of check now and then for results.

#3 Support for Image Embedding

Wow! This means that many files are contained in a 4kb sector of the hard drive when many files are <1kb. The problem occurs when many small files exist and one is trying to use a portable file system that is small. This disparity between the actual size of the data and the data's footprint means longer times uploading and downloading the files.
