Biggest utility of win-get is it's database, so any mean to make it more complete will drive win-get to sucess, in order to do that, it should be "upgraded" to support more fields for apps (both for editing as for selections), for example:

- Language of installer (grouped for software name)

- App version (so you can install "acrobat", and you can specify a target version, or just install last one)

- Target arch (win95,98,me,nt,2000,xp,vista, reactos, whatever) so you can do a win-get on a win95 and get the latest available version of firefox (I think it was 1.5 for that), or 2.0 for xp

- Editor "karma" points, so you can trust one user creating new apps and get those apps available for your user as "verified".

- Public profiles, for example, creating a "default" profile for your use with a URL with a hash allowing then to use those public profiles without an username or password

- A way to update win-get itself... right now, if you run it from %WINDIR% and install to %WINDIR%, the executable is "in use" and cannot be ovewritten

Congratulations for your software!
installed by windows-get. Windows-get could then check
