Currently, you have to create dummy iterations to be able to simulate "Product/Release-Backlogs". Although that's Scrum terminology (not XP) it would be useful to have two pseudo-Iterations created for every project, by default, where one can move stories to that are either planned for the current release or for the the product, in general.
