This tiny little application is a must-have for every PC user. Extremely easy to use with many, many options for size, transparency, color, sounds, fonts, and so much more. Having the choice to display the current time on top of every running app on the desktop - streaming videos or full screen movies, too - keeps me aware of my agenda and any wasted minutes (I'm talking to you YouTube). I've only used Digital Clock 4 on Win 10 Pro, but it is also available for the Linux OS. It utilizes almost no CPU and less than 50 MB of memory. Oh, and no glitches, crashes, and no ads. Perfect!

This desktop digital clock is darn near perfect !! I've used the windows 3.1 style clock on my desktop for years on 32 bit windows. I have other programs I use for alarms and scheduler and time tracking, etc. I wanted a simple digital clock that didn't try to satisfy every possible need and do none of that well (i.e. I didn't want almost any other clock available). I'm so glad I found Digital Clock 4. It presents a simple yet configurable digital clock, which can be configured for no borders, no background (so it blends in seamlessly with any desktop wallpaper). Its available in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions. And if you want to add to its features (such as alarms and other things) there are about 20 plugins that come with Digital Clock 4. Its relatively easy on Ram usage, around 60 mb and uses almost no CPU ticks. A beautiful, elegant, and simple design. Highly recommended !!!

Easily configurable stay on top digital clock! Works as described. Only one drawback is that it does not stay on top of extended monitors. Other than that, very well designed.

This is a great product and replacement for Windows Desktop Widgets. I wish there where more plugins though like a weather plugin, cpu plugin, hardisk and so on. Take a look at Conky!

I've just started to use this clock and I think its excellent. Thank you for your hard work.

Works well. Lots of options and being actively developed (top of my wish list would be to be able to have multiple instances, so that I could have a clock on each of my monitors).

it's good but if i could change the time zone to show another time zome it would be helpful.

The very latest available release (unstable), 4.50+, works PERFECTLY on my 64 bit Linux (Ubuntu 16.04) platform. It DOES require the gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly package to be installed to enable its Alarm plugin to play mp3 files. This is a PORTABLE app, so after extracting the downloaded, compressed package, place the extracted folder somewhere that you have read/write permissions and then run the file CONFIG_DESKTOP.SH. This will cause a new icon to appear in the folder that looks like a large, black clock and is labeled DIGITAL CLOCK. Double click on this file to start DIGITAL CLOCK 4 (you may also copy this file to your desktop to use as a shortcut, if you wish). The ONLY shortcoming this application suffers from is the lack of a README file about how to install it. Once installed (and running), just right click on the displayed time to cause its context menu to be displayed. Have Fun and Enjoy!

"Needs Windows 7" this is ridiculous.

this sucks. I wanted to move it to a second monitor and there is no way to move it. Then I tried uninstalling it. It said it uninstalled but the clock will not go away now cannot hide clock. Now I have your ugly a** clock on my desktop on top of all my programs and it will not go away. Thanks for a sh1tty program.

Very useful application, but I would like to be able to select the sound file

Really an excellent, well thought out, well designed project... Would like to see an option to have the seconds displayed at a much smaller font than the hours and minutes. This would also allow the AM/PM indicator to be placed above the seconds for a cleaner look. But it is great as is!

An excellent solution for desktop clock. I very much appreciated the opportunity to set the background transparency hours. Solid background color is too aggressive.

Best desktop clock for Windows 8!!! Thumbs up. Feature rich, with a multitude of skins (and fonts). It's low on processor power and with a tray icon. Finally I found a (even better) replacement for my Rainlendar digital clock (Statica). Keep up the good work.
