File descriptions
-----------------
eaglemode-0.96.4-setup64.exe
Setup executable for installation on Windows >= 10, 64-bit (x64). This also
installs all the required third-party programs and libraries except for the
VLC libraries (therefore the VLC media player 3.0.x 64-bit should be installed
separately, Eagle Mode will ask for that when zooming into an audio/video
file). An uninstall function is provided.
eaglemode_0.96.4-1_amd64.deb
Binary package for installation on x86_64 compilations of Debian >= 12.0,
Ubuntu >= 23.04, Mint >= 22, and other up-to-date Debian-based systems. After
downloading you can install the package by running the following command as
root user in the download directory (the "./" in front of the file name is
required):
apt-get install ./eaglemode_0.96.4-1_amd64.deb
eaglemode-0.96.4-1.x86_64.rpm
Binary package for installation on x86_64 compilations of openSUSE Leap >=
15.6, Fedora >= 40, and other up-to-date RPM-based systems. After downloading
you can install the package by running the following command as root user in
the download directory:

or on openSUSE:

eaglemode-0.96.4-x86_64-1.txz

downloading you can install the package by running the following command as
root user in the download directory:
installpkg eaglemode-0.96.4-x86_64-1.txz
eaglemode-0.96.4-livecd.iso
ISO image of the Eagle Mode Live CD. It contains a Slax Linux with Eagle Mode
already installed. You just need to download the ISO image, burn a CD from it,
and boot that CD. It does not require any installation to hard disk. Hint: Do
not burn the ISO image as a file to a data CD. Instead, look out for a
function like "Burn Image", "Write ISO" or "Copy Image To CD" in your CD burn
software. If you let the live system connect to the internet, remember that it
is always a good idea to install updates for security reasons. The command to
do that is:
apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
eaglemode-0.96.4.tar.xz
Source package for installation from source. Instructions for compilation and
installation are contained in the package. Just unpack it and open the file
"doc/html/index.html" in a web browser. Alternatively, you could read the
documentation on the homepage.
