Open song is a free music presentation program that is severely lacking in documentation. The HELP file is almost worthless and there is very little real information on line. There is no explanation of the terms used and no explanation other than a straight forward 'do this' type of instruction. The 'hints' at the top of the page are meaningless. Editing is difficult and correcting on-the-fly is impossible. As one person commentated, "the idea is great but so hard to use". Needs a lot of work to make it into a better program. Being open source means that will take time.

Good upgrade! The addition of MS Powerpoint and OOo Impress import is good. Adding video is good as well. The reports still need some work. There are still many fields available in the application, but no way of getting the information out (i.e. adding presentation sequence to the song list or song print. Color coding in the presenter is helpful. However the grey used for current presentation position is difficult to distinguish. The text fades in the grey. Suggest bold font for highlighted line. Linux version print preview mashes text together on reports. When 2.0 is finally released, I will definitely upgrade our church's presentation computer!

Great software for chapel services. It's just about everything, tunes/guitar chords database, presentation, bible. We've been by using this for the chapel for a few years. Thanks heaps team!

Great church service tool. We use OpenSong from 2004 and is every year better and better.

Been using OpenSong for 4 years and have been extremely happy with its design, interface and quality. Have just tried v2.0 beta and was thankful for Videolan capability. Only hiccough is with dual screen mode. I was not able to display a video on alternate screen. Tried all the options but still no dice. Pls fix before release. Many thanks.
