It's compression ratio much better than PNG for photographic images and non photographic images. it uses ZPAQ library to get high compression ratio. The output of this compressor is in QOI format so open it using software that support QOI format. You should to download zqoi.exe and qoiconv.exe and put them in the same folder, then run zqoi.exe -

ZPAQ
Archiver and compression library
zpaq is a journaling archive for incremental backups with deduplication. Journaling means that the archive is append-only and you can revert to an earlier state to recover old versions of files. Compression is based on the open ZPAQ standard, a self-describing format that preserves compatibility as improved algorithms are developed. -

Qompressor is a Qt based compression GUI but with the intention of including multiple algorithms. Another aim of mine is for the project to be cross platform (Mac/Linux/Windows). The project is still in its infancy. Algorithms implemented: -zpaq
