MP3Gain analyzes and losslessly adjusts mp3 files to a specified target volume. It does not simply do peak amplitude normalization. Instead, it performs statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear.

LAME is an educational tool to be used for learning about MP3 encoding. The goal of the LAME project is to improve the psycho acoustics, quality and speed of MP3 encoding. Note: we provide source code only!

MPC Maid ("MM") is a software editor for the Akai MPC 500, MPC 1000, and MPC 2500. It is Mac, PC, and Linux-compliant and makes the edition of MPC programs files easy. It also features a semi-automatic slicing tool to chop loops into slices.

Both the Midas M32 and Behringer X32 share the same design of show management using the console GUI, M32-Edit and X32-Edit apps. This app provides an alternative method to manage these show files (cues, scenes and snippets). It provides an easier method of reorganizing and importing/exporting of files.

mp3guessenc is based upon the original project by Naoki Shibata. The Analysis & Resynthesis Sound Spectrograph analyses a sound file into a spectrogram and is able to synthesise this spectrogram, or any other user-created image, back into a sound.

didgmo is a software for DIDGeridoo sound MOdeling. didgmo is capable of predicting the sound characteristica of a didgeridoo by providing its inner geometry. didgmo uses the method of acoustic transmission line modeling.

NOTE: Project is looking for a new maintainer MPEG Maaate is a platform to do compressed-domain analysis of mpeg audio files (mpeg-1 layers 1,2,3), which includes mp3 files. The library has a bunch of filters which are implemented as plugins, such as histogram, pauseRate, signalMagnitude etc. (last successful compile was probably round 2005)
