Open Source Lua Compilers

Neovim compiler for building and running your code without having to configure anything.

This is the repository of tl, the compiler for Teal, a typed dialect of Lua. The core compiler has no dependencies and is implemented as a single tl. lua file which you can load into your projects. Running tl. loader() will add Teal support to your package loader, meaning that require() will be able to run .tl files. Alternatively, you can find pre-compiled binaries for Linux x86_64 and Windows x86_64 at the releases page. The packages contain a stand-alone executable that can run Teal programs (without the need of a separate Lua installation) and also compile them to Lua.

Fennel is a programming language that brings together the speed, simplicity and reach of Lua with the flexibility of a lisp syntax and macro system. Full Lua compatibility: Easily call any Lua function or library from Fennel and vice-versa. Zero overhead: Compiled code should be just as efficient as hand-written Lua. Compile-time macros: Ship compiled code with no runtime dependency on Fennel. Embeddable: Fennel is a one-file library as well as an executable. Embed it in other programs to support runtime extensibility and interactive development. Anywhere you can run Lua code, you can run Fennel code. Fennel is a lisp that compiles to Lua. It aims to be easy to use, expressive and has almost zero overhead compared to writing Lua directly. Building Fennel from source allows you to use versions of Fennel that haven't been released, and it makes contributing to Fennel easier.

Clue is an experimental C compiler that generates code for high-level dynamic languages such as Lua, Javascript, Perl5 and Common Lisp, as well as non-dynamic languages like C and Java. It supports the complete ANSI standard, including pointer arithmetic

March 2013 this project was announced first to public, but the feedback was ZERO. So I guess it is insanely bad and unusable. Ok. But sorry, I decided to continue it for myself to improve my inability and unexperience in software development FOR MYSELF. Even if it seemed to be the worst thing ever, I *NEED* to develop software for my own well being and even if I apparently - after over 20 years since the first lines of code I wrote - I improved my ability not a single bit than it is like that and I can't change it. BTW: there was feedback indeed: from the own 'family': "it is done by YOU so it cannot be of use for anybody!" (Literally: it contains algorithms and algorithms are evil and are non-existent in usable software)

The software resents an executable specification language based on deterministic finite automata, this allows the user to perform tests of word recognition in the state machines that are defined by it. Moreover, it’s possible for the user to assign snippets of code to be executed every transition automaton, these snippets can be described in Lua or PHP programming language. To test that were conducted in the language, was developed a compiler that recognizes words and generates object code.
