Global Land Use and technological Evolution Simulator.

This is a simple Octave script which calculates the frequencies/normal modes from an nwchem generated hessian matrix. The advantage of having a separate script for this is that you can use the same hessian to calculate frequencies for different isotopic substitutions i.e. you only have to run one nwchem calculation. The script is finished in its current form in the sense that it is feature complete. Feel free to amend, translate, copy, steal etc. See the README in the code repository for instructions. Installation: Simply download the file and start Octave in the download directory.

APEX Tools is a collection of utilities used in conjunction with the processing of airborne hyperspectral data developed for the ESA-Prodex supported Airborne Prism EXperiment (APEX).

The EPC software calculates velocities for any points located on the earth’s surface given the Euler pole parameters and estimates the Euler pole parameters given the observed velocities of a set of sites located on a tectonic plate. Since version 2, the software is able to estimate or apply the Plate Translation Rates, as well. Folder is a tool to simulate and analyse the development of structures in mechanically layered media during layer parallel shortening or extension. It includes a graphical user interface that allows for easy designing of complex geometrical models, defining material parameters (including linear and non-linear rheology), and specifying type and amount of deformation. It also includes a range of features that facilitate the visualization and examination of various relevant quantities e.g. velocities, stress, rate of deformation, pressure, and finite strain. Folder contains a separate application, which illustrates analytical solutions of growth rate spectra for buckling and necking of a single viscous layer. GPS Date Converter (GDC) is a program to convert six different date formats, including: (1) Decimal year, (2) Year, Month, Day, (3) Year, Day of year, (4) GPS Week, Day of week, (5) Julian date, and (6) Modified Julian date. These formats are quiet common in Earth Sciences, specially GPS applications. More information can be found in the GDC website.

Along with calculating basic statistics and quality parameters such as mean and variance, the soft-ware is capable of importing and visualizing different standard time series formats, determining and removing jumps and outliers, and makes numerical and publication quality graphical outputs. Bivariate statistical analysis (including correlation coefficient and linear regression) and time series analysis (including auto and cross-spectral analysis, wavelet power spectrum, spectrogram and periodicities) form the main analysis features of the software.

A GUI application to process timestack images for wave run up measurements on the coastal zone

A MatLab toolbox with many simple and useful functions for analyzing data from Cluster, Champ and the Swarm missions. Other functions for space plasma physics, magnetospheric and ionospheric research are included. The toolbox is designed to be as simple as possible. Matlab freeware for data analysis, by J. M. Lilly

KLT-IV v1.0 has been designed to offer a user-friendly graphical user interface for the determination of river flow velocity and river discharge using videos acquired using a variety of fixed and moving platforms. KLT-IV employs optical flow and computer vision techniques for the tracking of features present on the river surface with pixel displacements being converted to real-world velocities using an optimised camera model approach. Movement of the platform can be accounted for when ground control points and/or stable features are present, or where the platform is equipped with GPS and IMU sensors. PSIworxR (R) and PSIworx (MATLAB) are a collection of functions and scripts to analyze data from the PSI SuperHead Fast Fluorometer series (www.psi.cz). These fluorometers are used in limnology and oceanography research communities. The program retrieves parameters from single turnover induction and relaxation. Results are returned as text files and PDF figures.

The SeismoWeb Toolbox is a collection of Matlab and Java tools providing access to seismological webservices. The current focus lies on the NERIES earthquake data portal, but it is intended to add more webservices in the future.

These classes are useful for signal processing in Matlab or C++. They bring together tools and methods which may be used interchangeably for Matlab and C++. Their initial use is in conjunction with work towards my degree at UC Berkeley.
