SwiftLint hooks into Clang and SourceKit to use the AST representation of your source files for more accurate results. You might want to move your SwiftLint phase directly before ‘Compile Sources’ step, to detect errors quickly before compiling. However, SwiftLint is designed to run on valid Swift code that cleanly completes the compiler’s parsing stage. So running SwiftLint before ‘Compile Sources’ might yield some incorrect results. SwiftLint hooks into SourceKit so it continues working even as Swift evolves! This also keeps SwiftLint lean, as it doesn’t need to ship with a full Swift compiler, it just communicates with the official one you already have installed on your machine. -

Ansible Lint is a command-line tool for linting playbooks, roles and collections aimed towards any Ansible users. Its main goal is to promote proven practices, patterns and behaviors while avoiding common pitfalls that can easily lead to bugs or make code harder to maintain. Ansible lint is also supposed to help users upgrade their code to work with newer versions of Ansible. Due to this reason we recommend using it with the newest version of Ansible, even if the version used in production may be older. As any other linter, it is opinionated. Still, its rules are the result of community contributions and they can always be disabled based individually or by category by each user. ansible-lint checks playbooks for practices and behavior that could potentially be improved. As a community-backed project ansible-lint supports only the last two major versions of Ansible. -

Bats is a TAP-compliant testing framework for Bash. It provides a simple way to verify that the UNIX programs you write behave as expected. A Bats test file is a Bash script with special syntax for defining test cases. Under the hood, each test case is just a function with a description. Bats is most useful when testing software is written in Bash, but you can use it to test any UNIX program. Test cases consist of standard shell commands. Bats makes use of Bash's errexit (set -e) option when running test cases. If every command in the test case exits with a 0 status code (success), the test passes. In this way, each line is an assertion of truth. The Bats source code repository is hosted on GitHub. There you can file bugs on the issue tracker or submit tested pull requests for review. -

Learning Bitcoin from the Command Line is a tutorial for working with Bitcoin (and Lightning) that teaches direct interaction with the servers themselves, as the most robust and secure way to begin cryptocurrency work. This is a draft in progress, so that I can get some feedback from early reviewers. It is not yet ready for use. Learning Bitcoin from the Command Line is a project of Blockchain Commons. We are proudly a "not-for-profit" social benefit corporation committed to open source & open development. Our work is funded entirely by donations and collaborative partnerships with people like you. Every contribution will be spent on building open tools, technologies, and techniques that sustain and advance blockchain and internet security infrastructure and promote an open web. We are also tentatively considering what we could include in a v3.0 of the course.
