theHarvester is a very simple to use, yet powerful and effective tool designed to be used in the early stages of a penetration test or red team engagement. Use it for open source intelligence (OSINT) gathering to help determine a company's external threat landscape on the internet. The tool gathers emails, names, subdomains, IPs and URLs using multiple public data sources.

King Phisher is an open source tool that can simulate real world phishing attacks. It has an easy-to-use, flexible architecture that allows for full control over both emails and server content. It is useful for running awareness campaigns and training, and can only be used for legal applications when the explicit permission of the targeted organization has been obtained.

Fetchmail is a mail retrieval daemon that can download messages from POP3, IMAP, ODMR and ETRN-based stores, with SSL/TLS security including certificate verification, and pass downloaded mail to a local SMTP or LMTP server, or a message delivery agent such as maildrop.

Modoboa is a mail hosting and management platform including a modern and simplified Web User Interface. It provides useful components such as an administration panel and webmail. Modoboa integrates with well known software such as Postfix or Dovecot. A SQL database (MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite) is used as a central point of communication between all components. Modoboa is developed with modularity in mind, expanding it is really easy. Actually, all current features are extensions. It is written in Python 3 and uses the Django, jQuery and Bootstrap frameworks. This repo contains a jupyter nbconvert exporter to convert notebooks to multipart MIME, and a postprocessor to send it via smtp. nb2mail does not do anything by itself. It provides an export format ("mail") and postprocessor ("SendMailPostProcessor"). Please see the nbconvert documentation and example configuration for more information.

Add support for making Gmail the default mail application for the GNOME desktop. "Gmail" will be a choice for Mail Reader in the Preferred Applications dialog. "Mailto" links, "Send Link", etc., will be handled by Gmail.

BoboMail is a so called webmail application, which provides mail access through a web interface. It handles MIME messages properly (including HTML mails) and is implemented in Python.

Konfidi is a trust framework that uses topical trust values from a social network of authenticated people. When you receive an email from someone you do not know, but he/she is in the network, Konfidi will compute an inferred trust value for you.

gmail-otp consists of simple scripts to allow usage of one-time-pad (single-use) passwords for the authentication with the gmail (google mail) web-interface. It needs a trusted webserver to run the scripts.
