Starscream
Websockets in swift for iOS and OSX
Starscream is a conforming WebSocket (RFC 6455) library in Swift. Once imported, you can open a connection to your WebSocket server. Note that socket is probably best as a property, so it doesn't get deallocated right after being setup. After you are connected, there is either a delegate or closure you can use for process WebSocket events. The writeData method gives you a simple way to send Data (binary) data to the server. The writeString method is the same as writeData, but sends text/string. The writePing method is the same as write, but sends a ping control frame. Starscream will automatically respond to incoming ping control frames so you do not need to manually send pongs. You can override the default websocket headers, add your own custom ones and set a timeout. Update docs on how to load certificates and public keys into an app bundle, use the builtin pinner and TrustKit. -

SuperAgent is light-weight progressive ajax API crafted for flexibility, readability, and a low learning curve after being frustrated with many of the existing request APIs. It also works with Node.js! Small progressive client-side HTTP request library, and Node.js module with the same API, supporting many high-level HTTP client features. Browser-ready versions of this module are available via jsdelivr, unpkg, and also in the node_modules/superagent/dist folder in downloads of the superagent package. If you are using browserify, webpack, rollup, or another bundler, then you can follow the same usage as Node. SuperAgent is easily extended via plugins. The Node client supports making requests to Unix Domain Sockets. DELETE, HEAD, PATCH, POST, and PUT requests can also be used, simply change the method name. Absolute URLs can be used. In web browsers absolute URLs work only if the server implements CORS. -

SwiftNIO
Network application framework for protocol servers and clients
SwiftNIO is a cross-platform asynchronous event-driven network application framework for rapid development of maintainable high performance protocol servers & clients. Low-level protocol implementations are often a collection of ChannelHandlers that implement a protocol but still require the user to have a good understanding of SwiftNIO. Often, low-level protocol implementations will then be wrapped in high-level libraries with a nicer, more user-friendly API. High-level implementations are usually libraries that come with an API that doesn't expose SwiftNIO's ChannelPipeline and can therefore be used with very little (or no) SwiftNIO-specific knowledge. The implementations listed below do still do all of their I/O in SwiftNIO and integrate really well with the SwiftNIO ecosystem. SwiftNIO aims to support all of the platforms where Swift is supported. Currently, it is developed and tested on macOS and Linux. -

SwiftSVG
A simple, performant, and lightweight SVG parser
SwiftSVG is not meant to be a full SVG parser. The library supports the most common use cases of flat, solid-color SVG elements. It supports grouping and transformations and can parse all path and shape elements. The best use case for SwiftSVG is for flat icons that you may want to theme at runtime and have good control over. Think icons for your app, especially if you offer light and dark themes. The library can handle complex paths, and more importantly can handle them quickly, so you can use it to display many SVGs, just not every single use case. See the complex example in the examples app. At this time, gradients are not supported, but this is high on the list of features to support next. Furthermore, text is not supported at this time, but shouldn't be too difficult to support. Animations are the last major category that isn't supported, and they probably won't be in the near future seeing Cocoa already provides rich support. -

SwiftyStoreKit makes it easy for an incredible number of developers to seemlessly integrate in-App Purchases. This project, however, is now community-led. We need help building out features and writing tests. If you've shipped an app in the last five years, you're probably good to go. Some features (like discounts) are only available on new OS versions. There are a number of ways to install SwiftyStoreKit for your project. Swift Package Manager, CocoaPods, and Carthage integrations are the preferred and recommended approaches. The Swift Package Manager is a tool for automating the distribution of Swift code and is integrated into Xcode and the Swift compiler. This is the recommended installation method. Updates to SwiftyStoreKit will always be available immediately to projects with SPM. SPM is also integrated directly with Xcode. -

As a basic acceleration framework for Tencent Cloud AI, TNN has provided acceleration support for the implementation of many businesses. This repository provided a pre-release of TensorFlow and TensorFlow Addons tailored for macOS 11+ with native hardware acceleration via Apple’s ML Compute, supporting both Apple Silicon (M1) and Intel Macs. It shipped ready-made Python 3.8 wheels and install scripts so developers could quickly get an accelerated stack running without building from source. As TensorFlow added a Metal PluggableDevice path, the project directed users toward using Apple’s tensorflow-metal to get GPU acceleration on Mac directly through Metal. The README and releases emphasized this was a macOS-optimized distribution, not an upstream fork of TensorFlow, and it cataloged common installation notes and issues encountered by early Apple Silicon users. In practice, the repo served as a bridge during the transition to native Mac acceleration, making modern TensorFlow viable on Apple hardware while upstream support matured. -

Three20 is an Objective-C library for iPhone developers
three20 is a historically significant iOS framework originally extracted from Facebook’s app, providing a broad set of utilities and UI components for early iPhone development. It introduced a URL-based navigation system, image/caching pipelines, styled text labels, and a photo browser that many apps adopted before iOS shipped similar features. The library championed modularity with packages you could include piecemeal, helping teams standardize networking, model objects, and table view stylings. Because it predated ARC and many modern APIs, it also taught best practices for memory management and asynchronous image loading in its era. Over time Apple’s SDK absorbed or superseded much of its functionality, and the project was archived, but its ideas influenced subsequent open-source libraries. three20 remains an instructive snapshot of how early large-scale iOS apps were structured.
