Conditional GAN for generating synthetic tabular data
CTGAN is a collection of Deep Learning based synthetic data generators for single table data, which are able to learn from real data and generate synthetic data with high fidelity. If you're just getting started with synthetic data, we recommend installing the SDV library which provides user-friendly APIs for accessing CTGAN. The SDV library provides wrappers for preprocessing your data as well as additional usability features like constraints. When using the CTGAN library directly, you may need to manually preprocess your data into the correct format, for example, continuous data must be represented as floats. Discrete data must be represented as ints or strings. The data should not contain any missing values. -

The Synthetic Data Gym (SDGym) is a benchmarking framework for modeling and generating synthetic data. Measure performance and memory usage across different synthetic data modeling techniques – classical statistics, deep learning and more! The SDGym library integrates with the Synthetic Data Vault ecosystem. You can use any of its synthesizers, datasets or metrics for benchmarking. You also customize the process to include your own work. Select any of the publicly available datasets from the SDV project, or input your own data. This repository introduces GIMP3-ML, a set of Python plugins for the widely popular GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). It enables the use of recent advances in computer vision to the conventional image editing pipeline. FID score for PyTorch
Compute FID scores with PyTorch
This is a port of the official implementation of Fréchet Inception Distance to PyTorch. FID is a measure of similarity between two datasets of images. It was shown to correlate well with human judgement of visual quality and is most often used to evaluate the quality of samples of Generative Adversarial Networks. FID is calculated by computing the Fréchet distance between two Gaussians fitted to feature representations of the Inception network. The weights and the model are exactly the same as in the official Tensorflow implementation, and were tested to give very similar results (e.g. .08 absolute error and 0.0009 relative error on LSUN, using ProGAN generated images). However, due to differences in the image interpolation implementation and library backends, FID results still differ slightly from the original implementation. In difference to the official implementation, you can choose to use a different feature layer of the Inception network instead of the default pool3 layer. -

Synthetic data can then be used to supplement, augment and in some cases replace real data when training Machine Learning models. Additionally, it enables the testing of Machine Learning or other data dependent software systems without the risk of exposure that comes with data disclosure. Underneath the hood it uses several probabilistic graphical modeling and deep learning based techniques. To enable a variety of data storage structures, we employ unique hierarchical generative modeling and recursive sampling techniques. -

Old Photo Restoration
Bringing Old Photo Back to Life (CVPR 2020 oral)
We propose to restore old photos that suffer from severe degradation through a deep learning approach. Unlike conventional restoration tasks that can be solved through supervised learning, the degradation in real photos is complex and the domain gap between synthetic images and real old photos makes the network fail to generalize. Therefore, we propose a novel triplet domain translation network by leveraging real photos along with massive synthetic image pairs. Specifically, we train two variational autoencoders (VAEs) to respectively transform old photos and clean photos into two latent spaces. And the translation between these two latent spaces is learned with synthetic paired data. This translation generalizes well to real photos because the domain gap is closed in the compact latent space. Besides, to address multiple degradations mixed in one old photo, we design a global branch with a partial nonlocal block targeting to the structured defects, such as scratches and dust spots. -

Image Super-Resolution (ISR)

The goal of this project is to upscale and improve the quality of low-resolution images. This project contains Keras implementations of different Residual Dense Networks for Single Image Super-Resolution (ISR) as well as scripts to train these networks using content and adversarial loss components. Docker scripts and Google Colab notebooks are available to carry training and prediction. Also, we provide scripts to facilitate training on the cloud with AWS and Nvidia-docker with only a few commands. When training your own model, start with only PSNR loss (50+ epochs, depending on the dataset) and only then introduce GANS and feature loss. This can be controlled by the loss weights argument. The weights used to produce these images are available directly when creating the model object. ISR is compatible with Python 3.6 and is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license. -

Implementation of 'lightweight' GAN proposed in ICLR 2021, in Pytorch. The main contribution of the paper is a skip-layer excitation in the generator, paired with autoencoding self-supervised learning in the discriminator. Quoting the one-line summary "converge on single gpu with few hours' training, on 1024 resolution sub-hundred images". Augmentation is essential for Lightweight GAN to work effectively in a low data setting. You can test and see how your images will be augmented before they pass into a neural network (if you use augmentation). The general recommendation is to use suitable augs for your data and as many as possible, then after some time of training disable the most destructive (for image) augs. You can turn on automatic mixed precision with one flag --amp. You should expect it to be 33% faster and save up to 40% memory. Aim is an open-source experiment tracker that logs your training runs, and enables a beautiful UI to compare them. -

Simple StyleGan2 for Pytorch
Simplest working implementation of Stylegan2
Simple Pytorch implementation of Stylegan2 that can be completely trained from the command-line, no coding needed. You will need a machine with a GPU and CUDA installed. You can also specify the location where intermediate results and model checkpoints should be stored. You can increase the network capacity (which defaults to 16) to improve generation results, at the cost of more memory. By default, if the training gets cut off, it will automatically resume from the last checkpointed file. Once you have finished training, you can generate images from your latest checkpoint. If a previous checkpoint contained a better generator, (which often happens as generators start degrading towards the end of training), you can load from a previous checkpoint with another flag. A technique used in both StyleGAN and BigGAN is truncating the latent values so that their values fall close to the mean. The small the truncation value, the better the samples will appear at the cost of sample variety. -

A simple PyTorch Implementation of Generative Adversarial Networks
A simple PyTorch Implementation of Generative Adversarial Networks, focusing on anime face drawing. The images are generated from a DCGAN model trained on 143,000 anime character faces for 100 epochs. Manipulating latent codes enables the transition from images in the first row to the last row. The images are not clean, some outliers can be observed, which degrades the quality of the generated images. Anime-style images of 126 tags are collected from danbooru.donmai.us using the crawler tool gallery-dl. The images are then processed by an anime face detector python-anime face. The resulting dataset contains ~143,000 anime faces. Note that some of the tags may no longer be meaningful after cropping, i.e. the cropped face images under the 'uniform' tag may not contain visible parts of uniforms. -

3D-aware GANs based on NeRF (arXiv). This repository contains the code of the paper, CIPS-3D: A 3D-Aware Generator of GANs Based on Conditionally-Independent Pixel Synthesis. The problem of mirror symmetry refers to the sudden change of the direction of the bangs near the yaw angle of pi/2. We propose to use an auxiliary discriminator to solve this problem. Note that in the initial stage of training, the auxiliary discriminator must dominate the generator more than the main discriminator does. Otherwise, if the main discriminator dominates the generator, the mirror symmetry problem will still occur. In practice, progressive training is able to guarantee this. We have trained many times from scratch. Adding an auxiliary discriminator stably solves the mirror symmetry problem. -

Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL
Learning infinite-resolution image processing with GAN and RL from unpaired image datasets, using a differentiable photo editing model. ACM Transactions on Graphics (presented at SIGGRAPH 2018) Exposure is originally designed for RAW photos, which assumes 12+ bit color depth and linear "RGB" color space (or whatever we get after demosaicing). jpg and png images typically have only 8-bit color depth (except 16-bit pngs) and the lack of information (dynamic range/activation resolution) may lead to suboptimal results such as posterization. Moreover, jpg and most pngs assume an sRGB color space, which contains a roughly 1/2.2 Gamma correction, making the data distribution different from training images (which are linear). Exposure is just a prototype (proof-of-concept) of our latest research, and there are definitely a lot of engineering efforts required to make it suitable for a real product. -

We are still searching for a default cross-data-set configuration. Each of the examples supports search. Automated search can help find good configurations. If you are unsure, you can start with the 2d-distribution.py. Check out random_search.py for possibilities, you'll likely want to modify it. The examples are capable of (sometimes) finding a good trainer, like 2d-distribution. Mixing and matching components seems to work. -

MMGeneration is a powerful toolkit for generative models
MMGeneration has been merged in MMEditing. And we have supported new-generation tasks and models. MMGeneration is a powerful toolkit for generative models, especially for GANs now. It is based on PyTorch and MMCV. The master branch works with PyTorch 1.5+. We currently support training on Unconditional GANs, Internal GANs, and Image Translation Models. Support for conditional models will come soon. A plentiful toolkit containing multiple applications in GANs is provided to users. GAN interpolation, GAN projection, and GAN manipulations are integrated into our framework. It's time to play with your GANs! For the highly dynamic training in generative models, we adopt a new way to train dynamic models with MMDDP. A new design for complex loss modules is proposed for customizing the links between modules, which can achieve flexible combinations among different modules. Conditional GANs have been supported in our toolkit. More methods and pre-trained weights will come soon. -

An op-for-op PyTorch reimplementation of DeepMind's BigGAN model with the pre-trained weights from DeepMind. This repository contains an op-for-op PyTorch reimplementation of DeepMind's BigGAN that was released with the paper Large Scale GAN Training for High Fidelity Natural Image Synthesis. This PyTorch implementation of BigGAN is provided with the pretrained 128x128, 256x256 and 512x512 models by DeepMind. We also provide the scripts used to download and convert these models from the TensorFlow Hub models. This reimplementation was done from the raw computation graph of the Tensorflow version and behave similarly to the TensorFlow version (variance of the output difference of the order of 1e-5). This implementation currently only contains the generator as the weights of the discriminator were not released (although the structure of the discriminator is very similar to the generator so it could be added pretty easily. -

Reliable Metrics for Generative Models
Code base for the precision, recall, density, and coverage metrics
Reliable Fidelity and Diversity Metrics for Generative Models (ICML 2020). Devising indicative evaluation metrics for the image generation task remains an open problem. The most widely used metric for measuring the similarity between real and generated images has been the Fréchet Inception Distance (FID) score. Because it does not differentiate the fidelity and diversity aspects of the generated images, recent papers have introduced variants of precision and recall metrics to diagnose those properties separately. In this paper, we show that even the latest version of the precision and recall (Kynkäänniemi et al., 2019) metrics are not reliable yet. For example, they fail to detect the match between two identical distributions, they are not robust against outliers, and the evaluation hyperparameters are selected arbitrarily. We propose density and coverage metrics that solve the above issues. -

This repository contains a new generative model of chatbot based on seq2seq modeling. The trained model available here used a small dataset composed of ~8K pairs of context (the last two utterances of the dialogue up to the current point) and respective response. The data were collected from dialogues of English courses online. This trained model can be fine-tuned using a closed-domain dataset to real-world applications. The canonical seq2seq model became popular in neural machine translation, a task that has different prior probability distributions for the words belonging to the input and output sequences since the input and output utterances are written in different languages. The architecture presented here assumes the same prior distributions for input and output words. Therefore, it shares an embedding layer (Glove pre-trained word embedding) between the encoding and decoding processes through the adoption of a new model. -

StudioGAN is a Pytorch library providing implementations of representative Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) for conditional/unconditional image generation. StudioGAN aims to offer an identical playground for modern GANs so that machine learning researchers can readily compare and analyze a new idea. Moreover, StudioGAN provides an unprecedented-scale benchmark for generative models. The benchmark includes results from GANs (BigGAN-Deep, StyleGAN-XL), auto-regressive models (MaskGIT, RQ-Transformer), and Diffusion models (LSGM++, CLD-SGM, ADM-G-U). StudioGAN is a self-contained library that provides 7 GAN architectures, 9 conditioning methods, 4 adversarial losses, 13 regularization modules, 6 augmentation modules, 8 evaluation metrics, and 5 evaluation backbones. Among these configurations, we formulate 30 GANs as representatives. Each modularized option is managed through a configuration system that works through a YAML file.
