LMS is an open source multi-room audio system. It was created by SlimDevices and then acquired by Logitech. Although Logitech has ended development of hardware devices, the project is still very active with lots of plugin released regularly. New hardware players can be added using PI devices and DAC board to build high-quality multi-room. I've created some extra plugins, especially to include new standard hardware/players to the LMS ecosystem: UPnP/DLNA (Sonos), ChromeCast and AirPlay. -

Immagine per il Raspberry PI che implementa un server domestico per i seguenti servizi: NAS (collegando dischi USB alle porte del Raspberry) Print Server Media Server (DLNA) Scanner di rete (Permette l'accesso via rete ad uno scanner) Inoltre è installata l'interfaccia web RPI-Monitor che consente di visualizzare via web lo stato del dispositivo. Tramite interfaccia web è possibile gestire: Amministrazione del dispositivo (tramite WEBMIN) Stampanti (Tramite CUPS) Scanner (Tramite PHP Server Scanner) Accesso in ssh (tramite shell in a box) Caratteristica interessante è il fatto che è un server headless (quindi puo' essere operativo senza alcun monitor e tastiera). Anche la parte Wifi (SSID e Password) sono configurabili con un fiile di testo presente nella partizione di boot (che è in FAT32 e quindi modificabile anche da S.O. Windows). Una volta collegato alla rete il dispositivo è visibile tramite il nome raspberrypi.local (o raspberrypi) -

Upgrading to a new version is as easy as replacing the binary with a new one. Mango is written in Crystal, a compiled language that offers C-level performance and a safe type system. Thanks to this, Mango uses very little CPU and RAM resources. The web pages served by Mango are mostly rendered on the backend to make the web interface more responsive. Mango has a long list of configuration options while offering sane default values to them. Free and Open Source community driven media server
Airsonic is a free, web-based media streamer, providing ubiquitous access to your music. Use it to share your music with friends, or to listen to your own music while at work. You can stream to multiple players simultaneously, for instance to one player in your kitchen and another in your living room. Airsonic is designed to handle very large music collections (hundreds of gigabytes). Although optimized for MP3 streaming, it works for any audio or video format that can stream over HTTP, for instance AAC and OGG. By using transcoder plug-ins, Airsonic supports on-the-fly conversion and streaming of virtually any audio format, including WMA, FLAC, APE, Musepack, WavPack and Shorten. If you have constrained bandwidth, you may set an upper limit for the bit rate of the music streams. Airsonic will then automatically re-sample the music to a suitable bit rate. -
