ArrowOS is an AOSP based open source project started with the aim of keeping things simple, clean and neat, both for the Android system and users. We understand the pain of unnecessary and sometimes rarely used mods/features being shipped with custom roms nowadays which may end up causing battery drains and/or memory leaks. This is being strictly avoided on our side keeping everything to a bare minimum, delivering the stable performance all the time without destroying the AOSP interface. With users getting more used to tweaks and features, we added just the right stuff that will be actually USEFUL at the end of the day. -

This projects aim is to bring a range of linux distros to your android device through a method known as 'chroot', see it has running a linux distro within a virtual machine on your phone. You can access this virtual machine and run it on your phone without causing any damage to your device, or having to overwrite anything. Why might you want this? well my apps are designed to make the install and set up process as easy as possible (more so in the paid apps) while still giving you some flexibility. Once you have the distro up and running then you can pretty much run and install any linux software you like (so long as there is a arm port or it is not architecturaly dependent). -

Mobilinux - Linux for Android
This application will allow you to install and run Linux on Android !
The app supports ROOTED as well as NOROOTED devices. Use your mobile as a Pocket PC !! For Root Method: The application creates a disk image on a flash card, mounts it and installs an OS distribution. Applications of the new system are run in a chroot environment and working together with the Android platform. All changes made on the device are reversible, i.e. the application and components can be removed completely. Installation of a distribution is done by downloading files from official mirrors online over the internet. The application requires superuser rights (ROOT).Installing a new operating system takes about 15 minutes. The recommended minimum size of a disk image is 1024 MB (with LXDE), and without a GUI - 512 MB. Noroot Method: Install MOBICONSOLE addon and then install the linux on a non-rooted phone. -
