A self-service password management tool for Active Directory
PassCore is a very simple 1-page web application written in C#, using ASP.NET Core, Material UI (React Components), and Microsoft Directory Services (Default provider). It allows users to change their Active Directory/LDAP password on their own, provided the user is not disabled. PassCore does not require any configuration, as it obtains the principal context from the current domain. I wrote this because a number of people have requested several features that the original version did not have. The original version of this tool was downloaded around 8000 times in 2.5 years. My hope is that the new version continues to be just as popular. There really is no free alternative out there (that I know of) so hopefully, this saves someone else some time and money. We recommend use the docker image and redirect the traffic to nginx. -

A pronounceable password generator plugin for KeePass. NOTE: This project has been discontinued. It hasn't been worth it to maintain the project for a while now, so no more updates will be made to the plugin. The algorithm this plugin uses is based off FIPS-181 which was withdrawn by NIST a while back. The proliferation of password managers that seamlessly run on multiple platforms (some of which are free) has also removed almost all advantages of using randomly generated pronounceable passwords. If you have a use case for this plugin, reconsider it. If you still think using randomly generated pronounceable passwords are worth it for your use case, reconsider it some more.

This is done either by using a special menu command (under File, Synchronize) or by creating a new Trigger action to perform the synchronisation. In order to be a valid format for synchronisation, the format must support both Import and Export, and must support Uuids. It is recommended, but not required, that it is secured by a composite key (the same key will be used as for the database being synchronised to, as is the case for normal synchronisation). -

This contains 100% of the data in a standard kdbx file, and is encrypted using exactly the same compression, cryptography and integrity code. The difference is that inside the encrypted container, rather than XML, is a binary format serialized using Protocol Buffers. This has the advantage of being smaller and faster than XML, and is therefore particularly suitable for use with mobile versions of KeePass, such as Keepass2Android <http://keepass2android.codeplex.com/>. Note that as this is a new file format, the KdbpFile plugin is required for desktop KeePass to be able to import files that have been exported using it. Other ports and implementations of KeePass may in the future include native support for the format, but if they do not, they will not be able to read these files. -
