Tux Paint is a free, award-winning drawing program originally created for children ages 3 to 12, but enjoyed by all! It combines an easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who guides children as they use the program. You're presented with a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to help them be creative. Along with paintbrush, shapes and text, Tux Paint includes a "stamp" feature to add pre-drawn or photographic imagery to pictures, and a set of "magic tools" that provide filter effects (like blur, tint and waves) and interesting drawing tools (like train tracks, bubbles and grass). Tux Paint includes a collection of "starter" images, both coloring-book style and photo-realistic, and a large collections of stamps are available as a separate download. Additional content can be added by parents & teachers, or downloaded from 3rd parties. Tux Paint is available for Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, & Haiku operating systems, among others.

The Animated Portable Network Graphics (APNG) is an unofficial extension of the Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format. APNG patch provides APNG support to libpng. APNG support was merged! https://github.com/pnggroup/libpng/pull/706

GraphicsMagick provides a set of commandline tools and programming APIs for manipulating, editing, and converting raster and vector images. It is derived from ImageMagick, with the objective of providing better stability and performance than ImageMagick while retaining the original MIT/X11 license.

XPaint is a simple paint program for X, suitable for producing simple graphics. It does offer some advanced features such as image processing functions and gradient fill. XPaint was originally written by David Koblas.

Agar provides a base GUI framework and a standard set of widgets from which graphical applications can be built which run natively under X11, Windows, MacOS, SDL and others. It takes advantage of texture and GPU acceleration wherever available. Agar can also attach to an existing framebuffer, SDL or OpenGL context and operate as a self-contained window-manager. It includes a standard library of general-purpose widgets, and is also designed to be extended externally. New widgets can be implemented as part of an application or library. Complex user interface elements can be realized often in few lines of code. Agar is also extensible at the low-level. The low-level API is documented such that modular drivers can be written which enable Agar applications to work seamlessly under many platforms graphics systems without any change at the application level.

GIMP Plug-In set for 360° panoramas =================================== This plugin set contain 4 plugins helpful in 360° equirectangular panorama creation: * fill_zenith_nadir - fills transparent areas on the top and the bottom of the generated panorama with a gradient that smoothly connects to the neighbour pixels * panorama_to_zenith_nadir - converts panorama to editable form of zenith and nadir areas. This allows for easy editing, eg. patching, filling, placing a logo * zenith_nadir_to_panorama - converts back the editable zenith and nadir to panorama projection * set_google_plus_metadata - attach metadata needed to publish panorama on Google+

Animal is AN IMAging Library written in C. Its simple API supports over 80 image formats, and is intended to make massive use of other image processing libraries. Animal aims at image analysis and recognition. It is mainly the C basis of the SIP toolbox.

Adjust for Panorama is a GIMP plugin which distorts images taken as a panorama. It maps the image from the planar projection onto a cylinder. After converting a series of images, they nicely overlap each other and it is easy to compose a panoramatic view from them.

Box is a language specifically designed to make vector graphics easy plus a integrated development environment which facilitates the use of the language by interactively showing the graphical output. Box combines the convenience of drawing figures with the mouse with the convenience of describing them with a language tailored for vector graphics.
