    CloudCompare

    CloudCompare

    CloudCompare main repository

CloudCompare is a 3D point cloud (and triangular mesh) processing software. It was originally designed to perform comparison between two 3D points clouds (such as the ones obtained with a laser scanner) or between a point cloud and a triangular mesh. It relies on an octree structure that is highly optimized for this particular use-case. It was also meant to deal with huge point clouds (typically more than 10 million points, and up to 120 million with 2 GB of memory).

    alphageometry

    alphageometry

    AI-driven neuro-symbolic solver for high-school geometry problems

AlphaGeometry, developed by Google DeepMind, is a theorem-proving system that combines symbolic reasoning with deep learning to solve challenging geometry problems, such as those found in mathematical Olympiads. The repository provides the full implementation of DDAR (Deductive Difference and Abductive Reasoning) and AlphaGeometry, two automated geometry solvers described in the 2024 Nature paper “Solving Olympiad Geometry without Human Demonstrations.” AlphaGeometry integrates a symbolic deduction engine with a transformer-based language model to propose and validate geometric constructions in a stepwise proof process. The DDAR solver focuses purely on rule-based reasoning, while AlphaGeometry enhances this by using a learned model to suggest auxiliary constructions when logical reasoning alone is insufficient. ...

    OpenLoco

    OpenLoco

An open source re-implementation of Chris Sawyer's Locomotion

...OpenLoco aims to improve the game similar to how OpenTTD improved Transport Tycoon, and OpenRCT2 improved RollerCoaster Tycoon. CSL was originally written in x86 assembly, building on top of the RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 engine. However, the engine has changed substantially enough that OpenLoco currently does not share its codebase with OpenRCT2. The reimplementation efforts of OpenLoco are gradual, aiming to ultimately rewrite the entire game in C++. In the earlier years of the project, the in-game UI has been completely reimplemented, and most of the underlying data and object structures have been uncovered. ...

    ESP3D

    ESP3D

FW for ESP8266/ESP8285/ESP32 used with 3D printer

...I currently use it with my personal flavor of repetier for Due based boards. The web interface files are present in the data directory but UI has its own repository ESP3D-WEBUI. Use GPIO2 to the ground to reset all settings in a hard way, 2-6 sec after boot / not before!! Set GPIO2 to ground before boot change boot mode and go to special boot that do not reach FW. Currently, boot takes 10 sec - giving 8 seconds to connect GPIO2 to GND and do a hard recovery for settings. Complete configuration by web browser (Station or Access point) or by Serial/telnet commands.

    Leiningen

    Leiningen

    Automate Clojure projects easily

...It does not cover learning the language itself; good Clojure documentation can be found elsewhere. If your preferred package manager offers a recent version of Leiningen, try that first as long as it has version 2.x. Windows users can use the above script in the Linux subsystem or try the batch file or Powershell version instead. Most tasks need to be run from somewhere inside a project directory to work, but some (new, help, search, version, and repl) may run from anywhere.

    JAX

    JAX

    Composable transformations of Python+NumPy programs

...It can differentiate through loops, branches, recursion, and closures, and it can take derivatives of derivatives of derivatives. It supports reverse-mode differentiation (a.k.a. backpropagation) via grad as well as forward-mode differentiation, and the two can be composed arbitrarily to any order. What’s new is that JAX uses XLA to compile and run your NumPy programs on GPUs and TPUs. Compilation happens under the hood by default, with library calls getting just-in-time compiled and executed. But JAX also lets you just-in-time compile your own Python functions into XLA-optimized kernels using a one-function API, jit. ...

Maxima -- GPL CAS based on DOE-MACSYMA

Computer Algebra System written in Common Lisp

Maxima is a computer algebra system comparable to commercial systems like Mathematica and Maple. It emphasizes symbolic mathematical computation: algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and much more. For example, Maxima solves x^2-r*x-s^2-r*s=0, giving the symbolic results [x=r+s, x=-s]. It can also calculate with exact integers and fractions, native floating-point, and high-precision big floats. Maxima has user-friendly front-ends, an online manual, plotting commands, and numerical libraries. It features its own programming language, and many users have contributed useful packages in various areas over the decades. ...
