Skim is a PDF reader and note-taker for OS X. It is designed to help you read and annotate scientific papers in PDF, but is also great for viewing any PDF file. Skim requires OS X 10.10 or higher.

Video Projector/Monitor Calibration Software orginally developed as ColorHCFR. This code base is based off version 2.1 and will aim for a more open development process. Darling is a free and open source runtime compatibility layer—akin to Wine—for Linux that allows native macOS (Darwin) applications to run directly without hardware emulation. It implements macOS libraries and frameworks, enabling macOS binaries to execute on Linux. Darling has support for DPREFIXes, which are very similar to WINEPREFIXes. They are virtual “chroot” environments with an macOS-like filesystem structure, where you can install software safely. The default DPREFIX location is ~/.darling, but this can be changed by exporting an identically named environment variable. A prefix is automatically created and initialized on first use. Please note that we use overlayfs for creating prefixes, and so we cannot support putting prefix on a filesystem like NFS or eCryptfs. In particular, the default prefix location won't work if you have an encrypted home directory.

RSM (Radiation Spectrum Method) is a 2D rigorous tool to solve the Maxwell equations for the propagation of light in integrated optics or photonics devices. It makes use of an EigenMode Expansion method (EME) to solve the electromagnetic problem. This software running on Windows and MacOS comes with a GUI that permits to define with the aid of files or scripts the arbitrary and complex geometry of the waveguide. Of that way any waveguide geometry can be handled. Several plots are available : refractive index plot, field propagation plot and modes spectrum plot. This permits, with the interpretation of the guided and radiation modes spectrum, a physical understanding of the propagation mechanisms in the integrated optical device under evaluation. The complex geometry of the component is discretized in a stack of multilayer dielectric waveguides.
